Student Support

Orientation for New Students

All incoming VanArts students are invited to attend an Orientation Session prior to the start of their program. Orientation includes:

  • Introduction to staff, faculty, systems, and facilities
  • Health and safety information
  • Academic expectations and student conduct
  • Overview of student services and support

Orientation may be attended in person or online, depending on each student’s circumstances. Details are provided by email 1–2 weeks before your program start date.

Academic and Program Support

At VanArts, our faculty and staff are committed to helping students succeed throughout their studies. While we do not have a formal academic advising department, students are encouraged to speak directly with their instructors or department heads for guidance on program requirements, expectations, and progression.  Grades and feedback for students are available to students in our school management system, myVanArts.

Additionally, students may connect with our Student Services department by email at studentservices@vanarts.com.

Learning Support

As a focused creative institution, VanArts does not offer in-house tutoring or formal academic support services outside of regularly scheduled classes and labs. However, students needing more help with time management or study skills are welcome to speak with their instructors, department heads or Student Services for informal support or feedback.

Our staff may also be able to connect students with recent grads who may be hired as independent tutors.
