Students in our Entertainment Art and Visual Effects programs received a visit from William Dwelly, who was most recently lead layout technical director on Avatar, at WETA Digital. He spoke to students about his work and how to break into the industry.
Grad Hired at Dreamworks: Rohan Oka
January 27th, 2010Congratulations go out to Rohan Oka, a graduate from VanArts' Entertainment Art for Film, TV & Games program. Rohan was just hired by Dreamworks Animation -- nice!

In every thing I do here now at Dreamworks Animation, I am always reminded and guided by the knowledge they gave us. Being a big fan of Shrek & Madagascar, working at Dreamworks is a treat... and am enjoying every moment of it."

DP Alumni Bill Braden visits graduating class

Bill Braden, who graduated from VanArts Digital Photography in February 2009, was down from his home base of Yellowknife NWT last week and paid a visit the DP6 class who will be graduating in a few short weeks. Bill described the biggest contributing factors to his success in his first year as a freelance photographer, with anecdotes, words of advice and lots of encouragement.
Bill's business is thriving in Yellowknife and across the north of Canada and we are extremely proud of all his acheivements over the past year.
