Ali began his educational and professional career with a BSc in mechanical engineering and an MSc in computer engineering, from Beykent and Pamukkale Universities in Turkey, and soon afterwards studied web design and computer programming in Canada. Throughout his educational career he has been very active as a researcher, IT technician and web programmer, participated in several conferences and published articles. More recently he has designed and built websites for a wide variety of clients in Vancouver.
Alex has training and work experience in digital photography & desktop publishing, having been trained at Fanshawe and Langara Colleges. His experience involves web and print design for the past 6-7 years at companies such as RE/MAX, The Institute of Advanced Media, BlackGlass Studios and Discovery Community College. He has since then moved into web and print design, curriculum development and Real Estate design packages where he can utilize his creative talent. Specializing in layout and design, Alex teaches software and design skills to our students drawing on his experience as a current freelance graphic designer.
Caio is an internet entrepreneur with over 14 years of experience, and the founder of Canada para Brasileiros, the biggest online portal in Portugese about Canada. He holds a Diploma in Applied Commercial Web Development through the Institute of Advanced Media.
Dan is currently a senior UI developer at Move, Inc. and has previously served as senior web developer at E-Cubed Media Synthesis, Inc. His experience as a client-side webmaster ranges from working for FITaccess/MindMyBody to lead programming for the 2001 Juno Awards hosted in Hamilton. His current specialty is in teaching techniques and strategies for UI Development and Mashups.
Mehmet Ates is a teacher and web developer with extensive experience in management for a local web development company. As a senior web developer, Mehmet is responsible for the company's customized content management system which allows them to enable small businesses to have an online presence and manage their sales, inventory and tracking.
Mehmet has a degree in Advanced Internet Development from Bodwell Internet School in Vancouver BC, and a Provincial Instructor Diploma from the Ministry of Education, with experience in teaching XML, server side programming with ColdFusion and database development.
Ross Chandler is a creative entrepreneur with a profound interest in the role design plays in business. Having started his career in marketing and special event production, he quickly gravitated toward design and art direction. Ross completed a certificate in interdiciplinary Studies from Kwantlen Polytechnic University before moving to Toronto where he completed a Bachelor of Design at the Ontario College of Art & Design.
Over the past 7 years he has held senior creative roles at leading design and interactive studios in Toronto and Vancouver. He has designed and managed creative projects for organizations including Tourism Toronto, the Royal Ontario Museum, The Ontario Science Centre, the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and Mountain Equipment Coop.
Ross currently resides in Vancouver where he holds the position of senior designer at Subplot Design Inc., a leading brand design firm. He is also Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Property Cloud Inc., a national internet-based business that helps real estate professionals, developers and property managers market their properties on mobile devices.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Design degree (major in communication) from Emily Carr University of Art & Design, and a Certificate in Interdisciplinary Design from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. His experience and interest lies in the fields of design, branding, the internet, marketing and business development. In addition to working as a partner in three online companies, Sam works with a wide range of traditional and online companies from around the world.
Scott is a Media Producer & Trainer with 15 years of professional experience. Scott brings great relevance to his training through patience, humour, and proven communication techniques to convey complex concepts in simple understandable ways. Scott is an active video producer, editor, graphic designer, web developer, blogger and consultant.
Wim is a professional web and new media designer with 15 years of experience in educational, academic, corporate and non-corporate environments. Fluent in several languages, Wim began his educational and professional career in the Netherlands, where he earned a 3D Producer Diploma from College of Multimedia and an MA from Leiden University. For the past several years he has been offering training, development and consulting in Vancouver, drawing from his vast knowledge of software and programming to focus on advanced web graphics and video.
