Character Animation Summer Intensive

This 1-month course, which runs annually in July, introduces students to the foundation principles of character animation, taught by our staff of industry professionals. 

Students are assigned their own personal workstations and complete a series of fun action-analysis exercises such as the bouncing ball, character jumps, and lifting weights, both in 2D and 3D. 

Also typically included are life drawing classes, animation history, stop-motion presentations, and special guest instructors, including our annual visit by Bill Matthews, retired Manager of Artist Development for Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Class sessions are held Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm. Students can also enjoy other fun events around Vancouver!   A certificate is awarded upon completion of the course.

Prerequisites: none, except a love for animation!
