On August 4th we received a special visit from Matt Welford, head of the compositing department at WETA Digital in New Zealand. He presented a casual Q&A with our Visual Effects students and spent some time looking at the students' work. Matt worked on all three Lord of the Rings films and has currently been working on James Cameron's upcoming feature Avatar. We are glad to have Matt on our Advisory Board for VanArts and look forward to his continued input into our Visual FX program.
