Dan Thibodeau

"If you are thinking of becoming a part of this industry, but don't know where to start. VanArts is the place to be. For me, VanArts was the start of a new career path. It's still sometimes hard to believe that I've come this far. Having worked with Robin Kort on EA's Skate, and now working on FIFA Street, I really must thank all the great knowledgeable teachers that helped me get to where I am today."

Dan Thibodeau, Associate Lighter, Electronic Arts

Vanarts gave me the skills and the know how...

"Vanarts gave me the skills and the know how to succeed in the video game industry. I learned so much from the talented teaching staff: Programs like Maya, Photoshop and principles of art and design helped me improve on my previous art training. At the end I had a good demo reel. It was hard work, but I had a great time and now I have a great job! I can't recommend it enough! You will learn so much!"

Blake Standard, Associate Lighter, Electronic Arts

My experience at VanArts was a huge eye opener...

"My experience at VanArts was a huge eye opener into the world of art and 3d graphics. Before attending the Game Art and Design course at VanArts I was working hard to find my way into the videogame industry, but I didn't have the artistic or technical training I needed to get the job. I had always entertained the thought that I could learn everything I needed to know at home through research, studying hard every day and training DVDs from Gnomon or Digital Tutors. This definately helped me get closer to my goals, but not close enough to find work.

The GAD10 teachers were really amazing...

"The GAD10 teachers were really amazing. They didn't mind staying after hours to make sure every student recieved the help he/she needed. The relationships that you develop with the teachers is something that I had never previously experienced. They treated us as equals and sincerely cared about our work, opinions and general well-being."

Chad Milam, Class of 2008
