The Broadcasting students at Columbia Academy at VanArts were invited to tour the Vancouver broadcast facilities of Bell Media. Students from our Acting for Film & Television program recently held their final performance project at the Havana Theatre. Under the direction of Bruce Dawson, the students put on two short plays: Beached by Bernie Deleo and By the Sea, By the Sea, By the Beautiful Sea by Joe Pintauro, Lanford Wilson, and Terrence McNally.

Atomic Cartoons in Vancouver has been gearing up on production of new shows, and that means they need animators! Luckily, VanArts has been offering professional training long enough to provide this talent for them. If you are an international student considering or already coming to VanArts, there is good news!
As of June 1st 2014, changes have been implemented to the International Student Program by Immigration Canada for designated learning institutions. Part of these changes pertain to options for working off campus for students who hold a valid study permit, and VanArts is on this list of institutions (DLI #019331363352).

Under the direction of instructor Jim Hebb, Founder of The Embassy VFX, students decided to create a short commercial spot for VanArts, using students from our Acting program in the hallways of our campus and a local motion capture studio.
