Congratulations to our 2010 graduates in Character Animation, Game Art, Visual Effects, and Digital Photography! The graduation ceremony was held at the HR McMillan Space Centre on September 9, and featured our graduate Scott Eade (lead layout technical director, Avatar) as guest speaker. Our Animation students & staff recently got an opportunity to speak directly with animator James Baxter via web-conference from Los Angeles in our lecture theater. Baxter has been a top animator at Dreamworks Animation studio for the past 12 years, and was previously one of the lead animators at Walt Disney Feature Animation. read more about Dreamworks' James Baxter Addresses Students
Representatives from the Luximation Films studio today visited the VanArts campus to interview our 3D Character Animation students. Present were: Director Kevin Hanna, Producer Sean O'Reilly, and Head of 3D Production Josh Redmond -- all contributors to the celebrated animated movie The Clockwork Girl 3D.

On Friday, July 16th, our annual guest Bill Matthews cut the ribbon to inaugurate our new campus, alongside VanArts President Alan Phillips.
