The Vision of the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts is to be one of the world’s best media, visual and performing arts institutions, and a school that is respected for its uniqueness, sense of purpose and program quality.

Its Purpose is to contribute to the development of the individual student’s artistic and career potential; and ensure the positive future development of the art forms its programs encompass and the industries it serves.

Our Mission is to bring together world-class instructors that are eager to teach, inspire, motivate and pass their knowledge on to students that wish to learn and receive that knowledge so they can develop their talents, pursue their passion and fulfill their dreams in the media, visual and performing arts.

To make this Vision a reality, to fulfill this Purpose and to pursue this Mission our current Goals are to:

• Continue development of current program materials.
• Further expand contacts and communications with the industries we serve.
• Introduce new and complementary programs.
• Build partnerships with other educational institutions, including articulation agreements that will allow our students to transfer credits to other institutions and programs.
