Curriculum
(Listed here is an overview of the curriculum for this program. To download a detailed curriculum guide click here.)
Term 1
The Digital Photography program begins by arming the students with the fundamental principles of photography and photo imaging. For students who are new to the craft we offer a one-week intensive primer course to elevate their skills and understanding of the basics before the full-time curriculum begins. Training will begin with creative camera techniques, on-camera flash, depth of field and low-light photography. Essential workflow techniques such as color management, image cataloging and keywording will prepare students for the masses of image files they will produce throughout their school year and beyond into their professional careers. Principles of composition, color and graphic controls as well as the human figure and historical influences will inform the students’ creative vision, conceptualization and approach to subject.
