Game Art Program partners with Electronic Arts on internship program

July 2nd, 2008

VanArts is excited to announce our newly established partnership with Electronic Arts Canada, one of the largest publishers of videogames in the world today.

Along with studios in Vancouver, Electronic Arts owns companies all over the world from Pandemic to Maxis. Our students, graduating from VanArts' Game Art and Design Program, will be eligible for a variety of paid internship positions available 3 times during the year. Department director, Robin Kort, will be syncing up our program delivery dates to line up with fall, spring and summer application times so that students are ready for the application process. Students that are recommended by the VanArts faculty will apply for a 4 month co-op term with one of the EA Studios. You could be working on Need for Speed, Fight Night, Fifa or the brand new Skate product to name a few.

The students will be exposed to some of the most cutting edge technology available in gaming today, as well, they will develop invalueable contacts in the industry. Co-op students that produce solid work during their term will be considered for any available, upcoming positions after their internship is over. This is an unbelievable opportunity for any student that makes the cut.

The internship program is part of VanArts continued commitment to your education and your career after graduation.
