EA Art Director Robin Kort Becomes Game Art & Design Department Head
VanArts is excited to announce Robin Kort as our new Department Head for our Game Art & Design Diploma Program, having taught Art Foundations with us since 2001. Robin Kort received her education in computer animation and foundation arts from Vancouver Film School and Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. She has worked in almost all areas of game art development: modelling, level design, animation, lighting, texturing, effects, front end, non- interactive sequence video, tools development, studio management and art direction. Her professional 10-year career has been spent at Enigma Animation Productions, Radical Entertainment, and most recently Electronic Arts in Vancouver, BC. All together, she has shipped 14 titles covering all of the major platforms, many of which have won awards for visual excellence. Her game credits include Dark Summit, MTV\`s Pure Ride, Jackie Chan Stuntmaster, SSX3, Need for Speed, NBA Street, Fifa Street, SSX4 On Tour, Sled Storm, and MBX. In addition to her game industry experience, Robin has also worked in Special Effects and photography.
