Wayne Gilbert

Head of 2D/3D Character Animation and Dean of Faculty

Wayne Gilbert's career spans more than three decades, including two Clio awards and experience on productions ranging from Care Bears to Star Wars. He is a graduate of Sheridan College, and has worked there as an instructor and coordinator of their Classical Animation Program. His professional career has taken him to the top studios including Walt Disney Canada, Industrial Light & Magic and Electronic Arts. Wayne is also a published author, and his book Simplified Drawing for Planning Animation is a required text at many animation schools. He regularly writes articles for the industry, and has written a novel and screenplay. read more about Wayne Gilbert

Charles Phillips

Charles studied film-making at John Abbott College's Creative Arts Program in Montreal in the early 1980s and also attended the Sheridan College Classical Animation Program in Oakville, Ontario. He has worked on several television series and commercials at studios in Montreal and Toronto, and on various independent projects in Vancouver. His eclectic background includes experience in radio broadcasting, as well as comic book and anime wholesale distribution. read more about Charles Phillips

Clint Morris

Clint is a graduate of the Canadian College of Performing Arts, and Applied Multimedia Training Center. Clint received training in classical and 3D animation and has had professional experiences in 3D animation and storyboarding. Clint also has involevement in a diverse range of other art forms includig former gymnast, dancer, and actor. Since 2006 Clint has been a highly appreciated member of VanArts faculty inctructing figure and life drawing at VanArts. read more about Clint Morris

Lawrence Wong

Lawrence holds a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Alberta. He has also earned Diplomas in Classical and Computer Animation from VanArts and the Vancouver Film School. His professional work experience began in 1998 as a clean-up and inbetween artist at Bardel Entertainment in Vancouver. He progressed as a final line animator on the feature film The Road to Eldorado, and the direct to video feature Joseph: King of Dreams for Dreamworks. read more about Lawrence Wong

Mark Pudleiner

Mark studied animation at Sheridan College and began his career at Nelvana. From there he moved on to Don Bluth Studios, Walt Disney Feature Animation, Dreamworks, and many other studios. His film credit list includes Ewoks, An American Tail, The Land Before Time, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan, Fantastia 2000, The Emperor's New Groove, Shrek 2, Meet the Robinsons and many more! read more about Mark Pudleiner

Sandra Ni Chonaola

Sandra studied at Ballyfermot College in Ireland, earning her diploma in Classical Animation.  She worked on numerous award winning TV series, beginning with character design and animation on Funky Fables (Irish Digital Media Award) at Boulder Media and more recently in 2008, she came to Canada and worked at Fatkat Studios on Nicktoons' Three Delivery and later commercials and promos at Chuck Gammage Inc., where she was trained in traditional cleanup as well as ink and paint. read more about Sandra Ni Chonaola
