Intro to Anatomical Drawing

This course is designed to teach the artist the basic fundamentals of anatomical drawing, and covers the human skeleton and muscles. Understanding anatomy is the foundation for creating believable drawings or paintings of the human figure. Anatomical drawing can also be applied to the creation of believable characters for animation, game art, or film.  This course is an excellent introduction to basic anatomy.

Instructor Bio:
This course is taught by local animator & concept artist Stephen Pearce, who has worked in several Vancouver studios, including AKA Cartoon, Bardel/Dreamworks, Mainframe, & Backbone Entertainment. His credits include Classical animation: Mtv's Cartoon Sushi, Stickin Around, & Joseph-King of Dreams. CG animation: ActionMan, Heavygear & Heavy Gear. Digital concept art: Bomberman, Sonic Rivals 2, & Monsterlab. Check out the links below for slideshow samples of Stephen's work.  If you want to learn how to draw like this, he can show you how!
