Acting for Film & TV (Various Levels) - Level I

(prerequisite for Acting for Film & TV (Various Levels) - Level II)

This is the longest-running course for film & TV acting in Vancouver, taught by Chilton Crane.  This 6-week course focuses on the basics of acting for the camera. Students will work on assigned scenes from modern film and TV scripts. Understanding the story of the scene, blocking, using the camera frame, props and costumes will all be covered. Professional on-set work habits will be used. All work will be recorded, viewed, and critiqued.

About the Instructor: Chilton Crane

Chilton Crane, Co-Head of VanArts' Acting Department, has been a professional actor for over 20 years, with many lead, recurring and guest star credits including X-Files, Supernatural, Outer Limits, L Word, Cold Squad, Beggars and Choosers, and many other series and feature films.  She has directed for both film and stage, very passionate about acting and teaching, and has always been lucky enough to find a balance of both crafts.
